Joe Francis

 

Following Felixstowe & Walton’s Bostik North encounter away at Coggeshall on Saturday 20thApril, Joe Francis announced his retirement from non-league football. It was a decision he had considered taking a year earlier but had decided to carry on for one more year. There will be many people involved in football in East Anglia who will be aware of the great contribution Joe has made to the game. He will be missed both as a footballer and for his character and personality.

Under 7s v Brantham Athletic Under 7s

Under 7s manager Damian Richer was missing his joint manager Steve Pitts for the last home friendly of the season against Brantham Athletic so he requested the help of First Team manager Ian Watson and coach Stuart Stevenson. Both were more than happy to oblige despite having an away game at Coggeshall that afternoon.

No points for the Senior Teams

The First Team travelled to Coggleshall to lose 2-1 with Henry Barley the scorer for the Seasiders.  The Reserves held out until midway through the second half before succumbing to a 0-4 defeat at home to Diss Town.

 

Two Defeats For First Team and Reserves

The First Team entertained Champions Bowers & Pitsea in front of 361 crowd but lost 0-4.   The Reserves went down 7-1 at Haverhill Borough with Cale Jones the scorer.

Super win for the U18

The Under 18s finished the season with an impressive 4-0 win at home against Woodbridge Town in front of a crowd of 70.   Two goals were from Joe Hunt, and one each for Marcel Lincoln-Francis and Cale Jones.
