Isuzu FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round Draw

The Draw for the next round of the Isuzu FA Trophy has been made...

The Seasiders have been drawn AWAY to Billericay Town in the FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round on the weekend of Saturday 7th October. If the scores are level after 90 minutes the tie will go straight to penalties.

My records (going back to Felixstowe Town joining the Eastern Counties in the mid-70's) show we haven't faced each other in any competition up til now....

The Blues play in the Isthmian Premier Division, entering the competition at this stage alongside the rest of Step 3 and play at the 4,800 capacity New Lodge. Their best performance in the Trophy came in 2017/18 when reaching the Quarter Finals and they've had great success in the FA Vase, winning the trophy on 3 occasions back in the 70's.

Billericay have made a good start to the league season and sit in 7th place with at least a game in hand on those above, collecting 13 points from the opening 6 games. They've also reached the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, beating 2 Isthmian North sides on the way (7-0 v Stowmarket and 3-1 at Brightlingsea).

The Seasiders have reached this stage following victories over Brentwood (2-0) and Hertford (6-3) and have reached the 2nd Round Proper on 2 occasions (2020/21 losing to Basford and 21/22 going out to AFC Telford).

The winners of the Third Qualifying Round tie pick up £2450, on top of the £3750 won so far in the competition. The losers collect £625 consolation prize money.

Full details including away travel info will be released once confirmed.
