Cautious re-opening

Bar to remain closed, but other steps to re-open taking place

As you are probably aware, from next Monday 12th April hospitality venues can reopen their outside areas.
There remains significant restrictions in place when opening so the club has a difficult decision to make regarding the benefits of opening against the large costs involved in staffing the serving restrictions.
For this reason, the bar will not reopen until we can open the inside area from 17th May.
It’s then hoped we can show the Euros from June onwards to a reduced capacity crowd, and gradually reintroduce events like bingo, breakfast club and bring back the Gin Festival later in the summer.
In the meantime, a sweet shop is opening at the ground from next Monday to join the other sports clinic businesses on site and we know people are missing being at the ground, so we will be opening the pitchside area during the shop opening hours so that supporters can come and socialise and enjoy a hot or cold drink in the outside area, manned by sweet shop staff with no costs to the football club.
From next weekend we will also be offering takeaway drinks and limited refreshments for Junior matches as we cautiously attempt to get back on the road to normality.
Full opening hours will be advertised in advance each week.
