Neil & Jon's latest View - After Saturday's Game

Updated 1000 Sunday 29th April

Well here we are are two games to play! everything to play for
In my last review back in January there would be some more twists and turns to come and so it came to pass.
Poor form for 3 consecutive home games left us with, in the words of Joe on Seasider TV  “A mountain to climb” (a big thank you to Barry and Carole for that little gem). but climb that mountain they have, home and away rain and shine, 21 points from 7 games , scoring 27 un-answered goals, that’s Roy of the Rovers stuff Spanner.
Yesterday was everything that we love about non-league football a large crowd cheering their local team onto promotion, after the game the players and management  high fiving the fans as they came off the pitch, a big thank you to all the players who took the time to chat to us after the game we really appreciated it, something you don’t get in the professional game.
So it’s almost as if it was meant to be after two cancellations , Felixstowe & Walton United v Coggleshall Town ,Tuesday night under the lights at the Goldstar ground ,a mega crowd, expected, two of the three stand out teams of the season, numbers one and two in the league going head to head, both looking to take a large step towards the title. I’m sure we will all be in good “Voice” but let’s not start with our backs towards the action.
Whatever happens Tuesday night ,a big thank you goes to everyone in the club for everything you have done to make this season to make it the most memorable one we can remember.
If we dare to dream and we do secure the league, this time next Sunday I should be asleep with a hang-over on the horizon and it’s been many a year since I've had one of those. (I suspect I might not be the only one)
See you Tuesday
