Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round Draw
The Draw for the next round of the Emirates FA Cup has been made...
The Seasiders have been drawn AWAY to Enfield Town in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round on the weekend of Saturday 16th September. If the scores are level after 90 minutes the tie will go to a replay.
Enfield were the first fan-owned club in the country and are unbeaten in the Isthmian Premier Division (Step 3), in 2nd place following 4 wins and a draw in their opening 5 fixtures. It won't be the Seasiders first trip to the Queen Elizabeth II stadium... with unhappy memories from a 5-0 drubbing in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round in 2014/15 still very fresh in my memory!
We also met more recently in the Velocity Trophy. Enfield winning 2-1 at the AGL Arena last November.
The Towners reached the Second Qualifying Round with a 3-0 home win v Potters Bar Town on Saturday.
The winners of the Second Qualifying Round tie pick up £3375, on top of the £3694 won so far in the competition. The losers collect £1125 consolation prize money.
