REDS

Seasiders 4 Kesgrave Kestrels  1

Coaches: Adam Langford, Gary Butcher

GK: Harrison Outfield: George, Dylan, Joe, Charlie Subs: Lucas, Stanley, Oakley

The first game kicked off the rain starting to come down and Felixstowe immediately on the attack, stringing passes together and  looked dangerous. Their constant possession of the ball meant that sooner or a later a goal would come and it did when Joe found the next with a cool, close finish. Joe then added to his tally just before the half time break. A good solid performance with another half to go!Kesgrave kicked off the second half and went on the attack, they kept the ball well and scored a goal they deserved to make the score 2-1. The Reds didn't let their heads drop and looked for the next goal and it was Charlie was played through by Dylan that poked the ball home. Subs Lucas, Stanley and Oakley came on and all played an important part in the team keeping the ball and helping in both attack and defence. Late in the game and a corner to Felixstowe Joe swung it in in bounce in off the Kesgrave keeper! A hatrick for Joe! The game ended and was met by huge applause by both sets of parents. Well done Reds on their first win of the season on to the next.

WHITES

Seasiders  1 Kesgrave Kestrels 13

Coaches: Adam Langford, Gary Butcher

GK: Noah Outfield: Jake, Sam, Evie, Tobey Subs: Shay, Max

With the weather drying up after the first game the White's took to the pitch. Kesgrave town looked strong and went on the attack straight from kick off. They pressed well but the defenders of Jake and Sam held them back well. However with a few good passage of play Kesgrave had scored serveral goals just before half time. The attacking two of Evie and Tobey managed to get the ball up field and worked well together and tested the opposition goalkeeper a few times. Both Shay and Max were brought on to mix things up out on pitch but Kesgrave moved the ball around well and kept scoring. The defence kept their heads up and kept playing as if the game was nil-nil. The game finished 13-1 but the coaches saw potential in what they had saw out on the pitch and  looking forward to the next game hoping to be rewarded for all their hard work! The game ended and was met by huge applause by both sets of parents again. Well done Whites on the game and lets get that first win we deserve!
