Felixstowe Carnival 2018

The Junior Section of the football club pulled out all the stops on Saturday 28th July to ensure the carnival float was a great success for the third year running.

Despite the initial rain on Saturday morning, there was lots of help from parents and juniors in decorating the float in the signature red and white of the club.

Over 40 juniors from both the boys and girls teams were involved, either riding on the float or walking alongside showing off their football skills, handing out leaflets and collecting donations from the huge crowd that turned out to watch.

The spectators lined the streets all the way to the seafront and the atmosphere was amazing. All of the children involved had a great time.

Special thanks to our team of volunteers: Stuart Gordon, Nicki Gordon, David Brewster, Sarah Dunne, Jason Thompson, James Richards and Steve Foley for their help with the float and support on the day. Also a special mention to Opal Bathrooms for their kind donation of sweets and decorations for the float.

Huge thanks to Matt Hope and Coastal Global Logistics (CGL) for providing the lorry and driver once again to enable us to take part in the carnival.

A final thank you to all of the juniors, parents and grandparents who helped and were involved on the day. It was a real team effort and everyone involved commented on what a fun day it was!
